Sean
I’ve taught IGCSE Computer Science for six years, mainly working with students who find programming harder than the theory. In lessons, we write Python together and trace code line by line before moving onto exam questions. I also spend plenty of time on algorithms, logic and pseudocode. Near exam season, I use past papers to spot the small wording mistakes that often cost marks. I usually set one short practice task between sessions so the next lesson can begin with something concrete.

I came into tutoring after working as a software developer, so I tend to explain IGCSE Computer Science with practical examples rather than definitions alone. Networks and cybersecurity are two topics I particularly enjoy teaching. For programming, I ask students to predict what code will do before running it. It is a simple habit, but it makes debugging and trace-table questions much easier. I change the explanation if the first approach does not click, rather than simply repeating it.

Hi, I’m a Computer Science tutor who has been teaching IGCSE students online for the past four years. I’m especially keen on Python and algorithms, and I like lessons where students do most of the typing rather than just watch me code. If a student has a test coming up, we’ll usually work through a few past-paper questions together and then revisit anything that caused trouble. Students can stop me whenever a line of code or technical term does not make sense.

Sierra
I’ve spent more than a decade teaching computing and now focus my private tuition on IGCSE Computer Science. My sessions are fairly structured: we review one weak area, work through examples, then finish with an exam-style question. Data representation and Boolean logic are topics I particularly enjoy because students often improve quickly once the underlying rules make sense. I often ask students to explain their reasoning aloud so I can catch gaps early.

Allison
My background is in cybersecurity, and I tutor IGCSE Computer Science alongside my work in technology. I’m useful for students who understand a topic in class but struggle to turn that knowledge into a good exam answer. We cover the syllabus carefully, with extra practice on networks, security and databases. I also use short Python exercises when a student needs more confidence reading unfamiliar code. Near exams, we move towards timed questions and careful use of command words.

Molly
I started tutoring IGCSE Computer Science while studying computing and have continued because I genuinely enjoy the problem-solving side of the subject. I’m quite relaxed in lessons, but I do expect students to have a go before I step in. We often use small Python tasks to practise loops, arrays and functions, then connect those ideas to pseudocode and the sort of questions that appear in exams. Past papers come in regularly once the core content is secure.
